New Castle Middle School Athletics

The cross country team hosted the conference meet Monday at Memorial Park. The girls raced first with Annabelle Davis leading the team with a 17th place finish out of over 110 runners. Maria Morrison continued to represent the Trojans with a 25th scoring position run followed by Brooke Overton who scored a personal best on the tough home course, Emma Hardwick and Kynleigh Murray also ran hard. Lane Marcum led the boys with a remarkable 10:55 on the very tough course placing him 4th in a field of 108, earning All HHC honors. Jayvyn Hanson and Danny Hurst also ran strong races for the Trojans. The cross country team finishes their season in Pendleton on Wednesday.
