New Castle Middle School Athletics

The cross country team traveled to Richmond Thursday in a Head-to-head meet. Lane Marcum led the boys with a strong 2nd place finish a second off his PR on the challenging course. Jayvyn Hanson was 6th with a 10 second personal best and Danny Hurst ran a PR for 3rd time this season. Annabelle Davis notched her 2nd win of the week and ran an impressive personal best. Maria Morrison had a gutsy run in 2nd place. Brooke Overton got a top 10 finish at near personal best pace with Emma Hardwick and Kynleigh Murray rounding out the strong day for the Trojan runners. Next up for the cross country team is the Hoosier Heritage Conference meet at Memorial Park on Monday at 6pm. Come out and support them in their only race this season on their home course!
