New Castle Middle School Athletics

The boys cross country team opened up their season in a 3 way meet with host Delta and Yorktown. Lane Marcum led the 3k run from the start, winning in dominating fashion. Danny Hurst came out strong with a 15th place finish. The girls were also well represented coming in 2nd. Leading the Trojans was Maria Morrison with a strong run coming in 3rd. Annabelle Davis places 6th with Ari Amman, Emma Hardwick and Kynleigh Murray all having strong races to open the season. Both groups next race is at the Rushville invitational this Saturday.
