New Castle Middle School Trojans 7th Grade Comes Back to Defeat New Palestine: Despite Trailing by as many as six runs, the 7th grade team rallied to top New Palestine 9-6 on Monday evening. The Trojans flipped the game on its head in the top of the 7th, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead 9-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a ground out by Jayden Moffitt that drove in two runs. Carter Silvers earned the win for New Castle. The reliever allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings of work. He also struck out five while not allowing a walk. Levi Huckeby stepped on the mound first for the Trojans 7th grade team. The right hander surrendered three hits, six runs, and struck out two in two innings of work. Gavin Hurt, the eight hole hitter for the Trojans, led the way with two rbi's. The infielder went 2-4 on the day. Hurt and Hudson White each collected two hits for New Castle. Kobe Lee, Silvers, and Carson Marcum each added a hit. Marcum also had two stolen bases. The Trojans were sure-handed in the field, not committing a single error. White lead the way making six plays.
