New Castle Middle School Athletics

The Lady Trojans traveled to Mt. Vernon last night to take on the Lady Marauders and fell with a score of 55-28. The Lady Trojans fell behind early due to the Lady Marauders stifling pressure both full court and half court. The Lady Trojans just weren't able to get a flow going early on. They tried to make a few runs at the tough Lady Marauders, but were unable to get back within striking distance. Despite good effort, the game continued to slip further away in the late stages of the game. The Lady Trojans were able to piece things together better in the 2nd half, but unfortunately the Lady Marauders were just too much. Scoring for the Lady Trojans: Kenlee Briscoe - 14 Addison Lee - 10 Lyrric Hazelman - 4 The Lady Trojans fall to 11-3 (5-1 in conference play) The 7th and 8th grade Lady Trojans will both return to action at home against Connersville on Tuesday, February 25th.
