New Castle Middle School Athletics

The 7/8 Lady Trojans traveled to Anderson Highland yesterday to take on the Lady Scots and came back victorious with a 41-8 win. We didn't waste any time as Estelle and Lee opened the game with a pair of 3 pointers. The Lady Trojans followed that up by cranking up the heat with their full-court pressure. The entire team was getting involved with steals and deflections fueled by the tip of the spear in Lyrric Hazelman! When Hazelman wasn't creating deflections for steals for her teammates, she was stealing it herself with quick hands and mirroring the ball to perfection! Briscoe was tenacious on the boards and great with kick outs as Highland was extremely physical with her at all times. It was a great night for the Lady Trojans as Arthur, Orr, and Crabtree were also able to contribute in the second half and held the line! Scoring for the Lady Trojans: Addison Lee - 13 Natalie Estelle - 11 Kenlee Briscoe - 10 Lyrric Hazelman - 6 Aubrey Armstrong - 1 The Lady Trojans move to 11-2 on the season (5-0 in conference play). They travel to HHC foe Mt. Vernon tonight with 7th grade starting at 5:30pm and 8th grade to follow around 6:30pm
