The 8th grade Lady Trojans fell to a tough Lady Arabians team by a score of 48-45. The Lady Trojans dug themselves into a big hole trailing by as many as 18 points in the first and were down 14 at the half. The Lady Trojans didn't fold though. They came out more determined defensively in the second half, which fueled their offense! The dominant post play of Kenlee Briscoe and the hot hand of Addi Lee from outside brought the Lady Trojans roaring back and allowed them to take the lead. Briscoe simply took over as she converted several layups as they tried to slow her in anyway they could. In the 4th quarter, the teams went back and forth trading the lead. Pendleton was up 4 when they fouled Lee while she was shooting a 3 with 7 seconds left. She made all 3 free throws which allowed the Lady Trojans one last chance. The tough and talented Lady Arabians were able to make both free throws moving their lead back to 3. The Lady Trojans executed the play well out of the timeout to advance the ball with the hopes of getting a last second 3 to tie it. However, the Lady Arabians were able to trap and get a hand on the ball before Lee could get the long 3 off. The Lady Trojans showed tremendous resolve and fight going back and forth with a talented and well coached Lady Arabian team. Scoring for the Lady Trojans: Kenlee Briscoe - 21 Addison Lee - 18 Aubrey Armstrong - 6 The Lady Trojans fall to 7-2 (2-0 in the conference)
